Fabergé names new CEO, launches special coronation lockets
Luxury jewellery and objets brand Fabergé has promoted Antony Lindsay to the role of CEO. His elevation follows previous CEO Sean Gilbertson becoming Executive Chairman of the Fabergé board.
Prior to talking the top role, Lindsay served as Managing Director at Fabergé for five-and-a-half years. He remains a member of the board of directors for both Fabergé UK Ltd and its parent company Gemfields UK Ltd.
He has 24 years of industry experience and is a certified gemologist of two globally leading gemological associations. He’s also a Freeman of the Worshipful company of Goldsmiths and served as President of the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) London Chapters Alumni from 2002 to 2005.
The new chief executive joined Fabergé in 2010 as Global Wholesale Director, after time spent at Graff Diamonds and David Morris International, and the company said he’s played an “integral role in the growth of the business over the last 13 years”.
The CEO news comes was the brand unveils its latest capsule collection, a jewellery offer to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III that takes place on 6 May.
It has added two new commemorative lockets to its Heritage collection, a Yellow Gold Diamond and Red Guilloché Enamel Coronation Crown and Heritage Yellow Gold Diamond and Red Guilloché Enamel Gold State Coach locket.
They both feature the British Hallmarking Council’s new hallmark, depicting the King’s head, “as a tribute to this special year”.
This hallmark is also exclusively available on request to be applied to any item of Fabergé jewellery or bespoke orders made this year.
The two 18k yellow gold egg lockets are hand-painted with a regal red guilloché enamel, and decorated with 17 round brilliant cut white diamonds.
They retail at £10,800 ($13,500), and will be available to buy online at Faberge.com, and in-store at Fabergé’s retail boutiques in Harrods London and The Dubai Mall, as well as at selected authorised retailers.
