Hoka debuts first-ever kids footwear collection
Deckers-owned footwear brand Hoka announced on Friday the launch of its first-ever collection of footwear for kids.
Designed with the young athlete in mind, the collection launches with three iconic Hoka styles: the Speedgoat 5 Youth, Clifton 9 Youth, and Ora Slide 3 Youth.
In particular, all styles were created to be sustainable. The Speedgoat 5 Youth enlists a woven mesh upper with 21% recycled polyethylene terephthalate yarns, and a 30% sugarcane midsole. It also features durable lugs to enhance grip and control, as well as a quick-toggle lace system, for easy on-and-off usage. It retails for $110.
Similarly, the Clifton 9 Youth features the same sustainable materials as the Speedgoat 5 Youth, while its gusseted tongue mitigates any tongue migration during high movement. It also retails for $110. Lastly, the Ora Slide 3 also enlists sustainably minded materials and supplies the durable traction that active kids require. They retail for $50.
"You'll find 100% Hoka DNA woven throughout our new Youth collection, including sustainably minded materials that help our next generation of athletes tread lighter," said Hy Rosario, director outdoor and kids.
"The Youth collection was inspired by our three most popular Hoka styles, built with performance first and designed to empower every child to choose their own adventure – whether it be on the road, trail or every day wear.”
The collection is available for purchase at Hoka.com and at Hoka authorized Hoka dealers worldwide.
