FIVE (?!) NEW DIORKENSTOCKS HAVE LANDED!

Let’s not pretend that when Dior partnered with Birkenstock in early 2022, it wasn't the best thing the footwear label had done since its Stüssy collab the year prior, because it was and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary.

Using plush felted wool and calfskin Dior elevated Birkenstock’s Tokio mule and Milano sandals into a new luxury realm, and with it raised the playing bar when it comes to opulent house shoes.

As expected, the Dior Birkenstocks collection sold out in no time at all when it landed, even with a price tag nearly $1k over any Birkenstock mainline styles.

Nevertheless, the collaboration’s resounding success (mainly for the purse linings of both Dior and Birkenstock) means they're set for round two and they're available via the Dior website now.

Thanks to the IG of Dior men's footwear designer, Thibo Denis, we were well aware of what some of the collection would look like. As expected, Dior is taking on the Tokio Mule and the Milano Sandal and dripping the slip-on silhouettes out in a range of bold colorways, a stark contrast from the pair's grayscale debut.

The Diorkenstocks (as I've now unofficially dubbed them) also feature a chrome Dior-branded buckle on the upper which is crafted from two luxury fabrics.

Typically, a pair of Diorkenstocks doesn't come cheap with each pair setting you back a hefty $1,100.

Sure, that might be more than most are willing to pay for some summer slip-ons, but equally they won't be able to boast about owning an IRL pair of Dior x Birkenstocks now, will they?
