JENNIE FROM BLACKPINK ENTERS HER ACTOR ERA IN STYLE
First Coachella, now Cannes: The Blackpink takeover has moved onto the Croisette for the annual film festival, first with Rosé and now with Jennie. (Lisa was also in town, but for a Celine event.)
Jennie's actually at the festival as an actor: Credited as Jennie Ruby Jane, she's set to appear in Sam Levinson's "The Idol," which premiered there on Monday. She walked the red carpet for the upcoming HBO series in a white lace, tea-length Chanel Haute Couture dress from the Spring 2020 collection, which appears to have set the tone for her Cannes wardrobe.
The following day, Jennie arrived at the photo call for "The Idol" in another elegant, black-and-white tea-length dress, this time by Shushu/Tong.
She flipped the color scheme of her premiere look, going for black with white trimmings for the photo call. Ever the diligent Chanel brand ambassador, Jennie accessorized with the house's Comète earrings, and pinned a few of its silk satin bow barrettes on her braid. (You can buy her Paris Texas pumps on sale at Ssense right now.)
Jennie's been a star, but her actor-era style certainly suits her.
