Katie Holmes Styles the Perfect Pair of Jeans With the Sneaker of the Season

Katie Holmes and her minimalist sense of style have returned to New York City from the French Riviera—following a sartorially successful run at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

The Rare Objects director was photographed while out and about Tuesday in Manhattan, where she cut a casual figure in a laid-back all-blue outfit.

The ensemble consisted of a short-sleeved collared button-up in a cornflower-blue shade, which featured decorative stripes going down the top’s center. She tucked the shirt into a pair of relaxed straight-leg blue jeans with a mid-rise silhouette. To top off the look, Holmes relied on one of this season’s most popular sneakers: the Adidas Samba. The actor wore a classic black-and-white iteration, which coordinated with her black sunglasses. She further accessorized with a long silver chain necklace, silver earring cuffs, and an off-white tote bag.

Holmes has been known to rely on Sambas to pull together her casual off-duty outfits.

For instance, while arriving in France last week, the Dawson’s Creek alum looked effortlessly cool in her black-and-white Sambas, which she styled with cherry-red pleated trousers, a pale pink Henley tee, and a long tan coat from Lafayette 148.

Prior to that, she was spotted in New York City wearing the same sneakers with a statement midi dress. A boho floral pattern in pink, black, orange, and green completely covered the billowing Sézane piece, providing a feminine contrast to the shoes. She finished the look with a butter-yellow tote bag from Phillip Lim.
