Rodd & Gunn collaborates with sports brand Gilbert
New Zealand heritage brand Rodd & Gunn has partnered with the sporting goods manufacturer, Gilbert, to create a menswear collection.
The collection features printed sweatshirts, hoodies, polo shirts, trousers, and jackets in a price range between 49 pounds and 395 pounds. Each item merches Gilbert's experience of over 200 years in the sports industry and Rodd & Gunn’s attention to detail by incorporating elements of its origin like the historic iconography of rugby players on the Landowne Road sweat.
“The game of Rugby is a study in a hardworking, humble, relentless pursuit of excellence. Teamwork and not the individual is key. It’s a global sport that touches so many different cultures, and they come together under the same sport. These values really resonated with me when conceptualizing this project”, said John Prikryl, creative director of Rodd & Gunn. “I would love this collaboration to extend and become the pre-eminent global après-rugby lifestyle concept.”
The collection was launched on February 13 and is available to purchase for consumers online at the Rodd & Gunn website.
