Stranger Things Star Natalia Dyer Shares the 4 Trends She's Loving for Spring
If you've watched Stranger Things season four, you're likely already familiar with Natalia Dyer, the actress who plays Nancy Wheeler in the suspenseful sci-fi horror series on Netflix. I've been devouring Dyer's retro-cool looks on the show from the very beginning. Her eye-catching array of corduroy, shearling jackets, high-waisted jeans, mohair sweaters, and retro sneakers convinced me to revisit the preppy '80s looks in my wardrobe. Of course, I've also been curious about how Dyer's on-screen style differs from her off-screen style.
Luckily, I had the chance to sit down with the Nashville-raised, New York-dwelling actress at the launch of the Longchamp spring/summer 2023 collection. She recently started working closely with the luxury French heritage brand and has become enamored with its effortlessly chic offerings. At the Santa Monica rooftop where we're sitting, she wears a vibrant poppy-hued Longchamp outfit and carries the brand's latest Box-Trot handbag in bright pink—quite the contrast from what I'm used to seeing her wear on the show. We chat about her everyday style, which she says always errs toward comfort. I fall a little more in love with the down-to-earth actress when she tells me she's been wearing casual Dickies pants almost every day and is a huge fan of Etsy, where she hunts for Victorian-inspired blouses and other vintage pieces that inspire her at the moment.
So what trends is the Stranger Things star excited about this season? From retro sneakers to flowy dresses, keep scrolling for the styles she tells me she's loving right now.
Vibrant Red
"Red has always been a color I've gravitated toward since I was little, and I'm loving the color for spring. I've had my nails painted seven different shades of red already this season!" — Dyer
Retro Sneakers
"I'm a sneakers person most of the time. I have a variety of styles I rotate through. I've been living in the Adidas Samba sneakers this season." — Dyer
Chic and Sleek Handbags
"I tend to be a one-bag person. I'll wear one bag for the full season. I'll always choose a bag that lasts and goes with everything—something that's chic and sleek. Longchamp has really nailed it with the Box Trot bag—creating something durable, versatile, and chic. Their color offerings are also so fun." — Dyer
Flowy Dresses
"This season, I'm loving a light, flowy peasant silhouette. Bigger skirts—something I can easily pair with sneakers." — Dyer
