Sustainable luxury fashion brand Wray opens first brick-and-mortar store in New York
The sustainable, on-trend luxury brand WRAY opened its first brick-and-mortar store at 38 Orchard Street in New York City.
By providing one of the most size-inclusive lines in the US, the brand reached an annual revenue increase from 200,000 dollars to 3 million dollars in less than three years. The brick-and-mortar store exceeded revenue expectations by 75 percent in the first two months.
Founded in 2015, Wray offers accessible, luxury fashion with a broad spectrum of sizes and is oriented on the trends of Gen Z. The brand is addressing environmentally conscious and ethical customers that want to purchase sizes between XXS and 6XL.
Although there is a high demand for larger sizes, the supply in the US is quite low. Over the last few years, it became one of the fastest-growing segments in the fashion industry. The brand discovered and filled this niche by offering trendy yet sustainable plus-size clothing.
“That feeling of wanting to make something that made everyone feel special, yet safe is why I built Wray“ explained Wray Serna, founder of Wray.
The New York-based clothing brand landed investors like the CFO of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) early on. Wray is currently expanding its product variety into jewellery and home décor.
