Xcel Brands forms two new strategic partnerships
Xcel Brands, Inc. announced on Friday the formation of two new strategic partnerships, with One Jeanswear Group and JTV, respectively.
The New York-based media and consumer products company said it has forged a licensing agreement with JTV, a jewelry retailer and broadcast network, that will see its Judith Ripka fine jewelry brand sold on JTV.com from June and through the network’s live TV broadcasts from August.
JTV will also license the Judith Ripka e-commerce platform, JudithRipka.com.
“We’re excited to launch this partnership,” said Robert W. D’Loren, Chairman and CEO of Xcel Brands. “The JTV team’s commitment to jewelry, digital retail and live broadcasting, coupled with their superior manufacturing expertise, make them an ideal licensing partner. We have committed to significant on-air time with the network, and we’re confident this will be a highly successful collaboration.”
Also on Friday, Xcel announced a strategic licensing partnership with One Jeanswear Group (OJG). Under the new agreement, OJG will design and produce apparel products for Xcel’s C. Wonder by Christian Siriano brand, beginning with items shipping for the fall 2023 season.
The new agreement marks an expansion of Xcel’s partnership with OJG, which also manufactures Logo by Lori Goldstein apparel products under license from Xcel.
“One Jeanswear Group’s unparalleled expertise in apparel makes the company an ideal manufacturing license partner for us,” said Robert D’Loren, chairman and CEO of Xcel Brands. “With the C. Wonder by Christian Siriano agreement, we’re extremely pleased to launch the second of what we expect to be a long series of collaborations with additional brands in our portfolio.”
In September, Xcel announced the appointment of Christian Siriano as creative director of the C. Wonder by Christian Siriano brand, which officially launched in March this year.
