Bulgari, the jeweller founded in Rome in 1848 that was bought by French luxury giant LVMH in 2011, has picked Thélios to design, produce and distribute worldwide its eyewear collections. The first Bulgari collection developed by Thélios will première in January 2024, and will include sunglasses and eyeglasses for men and women.

“Bulgari and Thélios are both characterised by their constant search for excellence, as representatives of exceptional Italian craftsmanship worldwide. We are sure that this partnership will further expand and enrich Bulgari’s eyewear segment, in perfect harmony with our iconic jewellery collections,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari.
Thélios was created to fulfil the LVMH group’s ambition to establish itself in the eyewear sector. Its name is the fusion of the names of two Greek divinities: Theia, goddess of light and eyesight, and Helios, the sun god. The company designs, produces and distributes sunglasses and eyeglasses frames for some of LVMH’s most prestigious labels, among them Dior, Fendi, Celine, Givenchy, Loewe, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, Berluti and Fred. It is based in Longarone, Italy, and led by CEO Alessandro Zanardo.
